Pompano Beach Airpark, or just PPM, is a publicly owned airport by Pompano Beach City. It was built during World War II to use as a naval outlying landing field. In 1947, they renamed the airport Pompano Beach Air Park after the city got the property under the Surplus Property Act of 1944. The airport is only 1.6 kilometers away from downtown Pompano Beach in Broward County, Florida. Sheltair Aviation Services is the fixed-based operator of PPM.
